Additional Information:
This book is an overall guide to the gold deposits in California. The
principle features of each gold bearing district are described. In many
cases the section includes the location and extent of the mine,
history, geology and the character of the ore deposits. Along with the
list of mines, productions figures are listed when available.
It is our opinion that prior to us taking pictures of the map it had
never been unfolded before. The map covers the entire State of
California listing the locations of the Gold Districts.
It would be far too time consuming to list the hundreds of mines
located in each district and province so we will list the contents
below with just the provinces and some of the more prominent counties
or areas.
If you are curious about Gold in California this is a must have book
for you. We feel that just the map by itself is well worth our asking
price.
