Additional Information:
Lefton China has been and continues to be very collectible from
lighthouses to animals and figurines to dinnerware. The vintage pieces
such as this cup and saucer from the 1950s and before seem to be the
most popular.
In addition the theme of this set designed for the OES or Order of the
Eastern Star, which is a fraternal sister to the Masons, is always a
particular favorite.
This set has the beautiful and colorful Eastern Star emblem on both the
cup and saucer as well as gold trim on both. The five points of the
emblem represent the 5 points of Adah, Ruth, Ester, Martha and Electra.
The
cup and saucer
are also decorated with 10 gold stars on the saucer and 10 stars on the
inside of the cup. There are also 8 gold stars on the outside of the
cup.
