Additional Information:
This buckle has the International Lion's Club logo in the center and is
nicely detailed. It is predominately gold-toned on black with the
center having the Lions emblem or insignia encased in resin with gold
glitter surrounding it. It is made in the U.S.A. and measures
approximately 3 1/2" long by 2 1/2" high by 1/2" thick.
Lions Clubs International (LCI) is the world's largest secular service
organization with over 44,500 clubs and more than 1.4 million members
over 200 countries around the world.
The Lions Clubs International was founded as a community service group
in the United States in 1917 by Melvin Jones. Their motto is "We Serve".
While they have many worthwhile programs that they support, they are
best known for their support of sight conservation. Their focus on work
for the blind and visually impaired began when Helen Keller addressed
the International Convention at Cedar Point, Ohio on June 30, 1925 and
charged Lions to be "Knights to the Blind".
Any Lions Club member would be proud to wear it. This buckle appears
unused and will make the perfect gift.
