When it comes to Manton Guns this book gives you more information than any other source. This book gives dates of manufacture, description of individual arms, many pictures and information not available anywhere else.

This book traces the steps of John Manton and Joseph Manton with their workmanship of making guns from the late 1700s on into the 1800s. It tells about their lives and even has a good bit of genealogy included. Even Thomas Manton is mentioned later in the book including the guns that he made.
