This is a beautiful Evans Table Lighter with a Rooster design.
This type of table lighter, made by Evans, was probably made in the
1930s however Evans lighters were popular from the 1920s through the
1970s. They originated in Attleboro Massachusetts. Since smoking is no
longer
fashionable or socially acceptable, smoking related items are becoming
highly collectible and sought after.
This is an unusual free-standing table lighter featuring a beautiful
rooster strutting his stuff on the front. The base and top are brass
and the background color is a turquoise. The lighter stands 4 7/8" tall
by 2 1/4" wide by 1 1/4" deep.
The rooster appears to be hand painted enamel with the golden and brown
parts raised and possibly made of some type of resin?
As you can see from our pictures it is in perfect working order. This
is a timeless piece that you will enjoy for a long time or give it as a
gift.
