Additional Information:
This is a children's book or reader and as the subtitle describes is a
story about a Parrot named Polly and her friend Spark the Bull Terrier.
The story starts with Spark, owned by the Morse Family, Mr &
Mrs
Morse and their children Robert, Ruth and Janie. Polly the Parrot comes
to live with them.
The cover is a little confusing in that it states that the
illustrator is Alice V. Carsey, while the title page says that the
book is illustrated by D. J. O'Brien, and there is one additional
reference on the title page indicating that this a is cloth
bound edition with 10
additional full page pictures in color and in black and white by Mae
Herrick Scannel. So who is the illustrator? Is it one or all three of
them?
Your guess is as good as mine!
Reading a bedtime story to your child or children has all but gone out
of our society. Maybe it is time to bring it back. This is an ideal
book to do that with!
