This piece along with many others that can be found on our Jewelry
pages are from an estate in the Boston area. They were owned by an
elderly woman that passed away in 1977.
This Christmas Tree brooch or pin has a brush silver finish with a
total of 29 rhinestones. On the tree itself there are 5 blue, 5 emerald
green and 4 red rhinestones plus 1 clear rhinestone that is in the
star. The base is made up of 14 emerald green rhinestones 9 of which
are round and 5 baguette cut stones.
This brooch was made by The Blanch-Ette Company of Chicago and this
piece is signed and designed by Judy Lee. The company started in
business in 1959.
The vintage era costume jewelry is back in vogue and now is an
opportune time to purchase a few pieces at very reasonable prices.
